The memorial ride and Ghost Bike dedication honoring and remembering fellow cyclist Mark Hinkel will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2015. The gathering point for the memorial ride will be the Georgetown College Toyota Football Stadium, located on Stadium Drive off of Lemon's Mill Road in Georgetown.
The procession will leave the stadium at 12:45 pm, so please plan to arrive in plenty of time to park and be ready. The restroom facilities at the stadium will be open. Stadium facilities will be open beginning at 12 pm
The procession will include a police escort in the front and back, and a portion of Lemon's Mill Road will be closed during the ride and ceremony. The procession will be led by the Zombie Zone Cycling team, followed by other cyclists, then attendees in vehicles. The dedication ceremony will be approximately 20-25 minutes in length. Following the ceremony, cyclists will ride back to the Stadium where maps and cue sheets will be available for those who want to do a longer ride. These will be "all comers" rides with no designated ride leaders so please plan with others in advance to form a group if you plan to do a longer ride after. Event will happen rain or shine
