The second Kentucky Bike – Walk Summit will be held at Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky on August 16th and 17th.
The Kentucky Bike – Walk Summit will engage national and local leaders and advocates to foster conversations and new ideas to build upon Kentucky’s progress in becoming a more bike and pedestrian friendly state.
The conference will encourage interaction between participants and speakers through topical presentations, panel discussions, and evening social activities and bike rides.
The conference is organized around four main themes: advocacy and education; tourism and economic development; design and infrastructure; and policy and funding.
Come learn about and ride Lexington’s 9 mile Legacy Trail and hear about the plans to break ground on the new 8.2 mile shared-use Town Branch Trail, which is within one mile of 55,000 Kentucky residents.
Join us and let’s keep pedaling forward to continue to develop a network of safe cycling and walking trails and bicycle friendly communities in Kentucky that will serve our neighbors and attract visitors to enjoy our state. Bikes are welcome.
